Mr. El-Shenawy, a former military/intelligence professional, transitioned to civilian life in 2002. Since then, he has founded and led multiple international trade and strategic consulting firms. He chairs Vision Media, a strategic communications and government relations firm, along with Kayan International Trade Company and Tradelink, specializing in international trade. Currently, he oversees the Delta Research Center, offering consultancy to businesses and government agencies, and Cascade Solutions, providing technology solutions to enterprise and government bodies.
